The first level postgraduate course will only be activated when there are at least 10 students.

The curricula, including laboratory activities, may be subject to updates, from year to year, in relation to the teaching autonomy set out according to DM 270/2004 and subsequent decrees.

Organisation

  • Delivery mode: dual (in presence and on zoom)
  • Compulsory attendance: 75%
  • Timetable: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00
  • Teaching methods: lectures; exercises; final examination.
  • Profit assessment: for each individual teaching.
  • Additional information: the internship may be replaced by project work or certified work activity.
  • Final examination: two sessions. Failure to pass the two sessions of the oral final examination means that the Level I postgraduate’s degree will not be awarded.

Goals

The goals of the First-level Postgraduate's Course SPECIALIZED AND SECTORAL TRANSLATION EXPERTS are

– to know the methodological techniques necessary for translation from a foreign language to Italian and vice versa;
– to combine documentary and terminological research with a critical and conscious reading of specialized and sectoral material, in the field of cultural, advertising and editorial products.

The Master provides the requirements to work for public, private and international bodies in the translation and drafting of specialized texts in specific sectors.

The figure of a high-level translator is highly sought after in conferences, public and private companies in the industrial and institutional sector, in international agencies and organizations; as an editor and reviser of specialized texts, linguist, consultant for linguistic experts, researcher at universities and research institutions and intercultural mediator at schools and hospitals.
