The first level postgraduate course will only be activated when there are at least 10 students.

The curricula, including laboratory activities, may be subject to updates, from year to year, in relation to the teaching autonomy set out according to DM 270/2004 and subsequent decrees.

 

Organisation

  • Delivery mode: dual (in presence and on zoom)
  • Compulsory attendance: 75%
  • Timetable: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00
  • Teaching methods: lectures; exercises; final examination.
  • Profit assessment: for each individual teaching.
  • Additional information: the internship may be replaced by project work or certified work activity.
  • Final examination: two sessions. Failure to pass the two sessions of the oral final examination means that the Level I postgraduate’s degree will not be awarded.

Goals

The goals of the First-level Postgraduate's Course DUBBING TECHNIQUES, TEXT ADAPTATION AND SUBTITLING are

– to provide a basic knowledge of the film and television field
– to provide skills in the use of audiovisual translation software;
– to reinforce and develop language skills in two foreign languages, through the practice of translation into and from the foreign language into Italian;
– to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to initiate the student in the dubbing of audiovisual products;
– to equip the learner with tools for the proper adaptation of texts and dialogues.

The Master’s course is aimed at professionals working in the field of translation, or in artistic fields such as film and television, but also at all those who have an interest in these sectors and wish to specialize as audiovisual translators, dialogue and text adaptors or dubbers.
