About us

Ciels Campus is a Higher School for Language Mediators with university regulations which aims to train professionals with solid skills in foreign languages and a specialization in competences increasingly in demand in the job market.

This is why Ciels, the first one in Italy, introduced since the beginning, specialization programmes in the criminological, managerial, turistic, advertising, diplomatic and language mediation fields, allowing its students to develop both linguistic and professionals skills, proposing not only the study of traditional Western languages (English, German, French and Spanish) but also Afro-Asian and Middle Eastern languages (Arabic, Chinese and Russian).

Founded in 2010, Ciels is the biggest and most popular campus of Language Mediation in Italy, with its schools located in Padua, Brescia and Bologna.

It is a university-organized institute with a Ministerial Decree of 31/03/2010 and its educational programs feature a Bachelor’s degree programme in Language Mediation (L-12) and a master’s degree program in strategic communication (LM-94). In addition, it features postgraduate and Higher Education programmes.

Future professionals

To support its students during their career, Ciels relies on authoritative and nationwide known professors, who can guarantee a continuously updated, targeted and complete training, as well as proposing in-depth thematic seminars, Higher Education programmes, conferences held by international guests and recruiting days, open to Ciels’ students and others.

Ciels Campus offers innovative and always updated study plans, especially in contexts such as top-class language studies and development of professional skills essential for entering in the employment market of young graduates.

Undergraduate students (L-12) choose their curriculum among the following specializations: security and social defense (criminology), international and diplomatic organizations; marketing and public relations; tourism management and international trade; business management or business internationalization; applied intercultural Language Mediation.

The master’s degree programme (LM-94) offers the following specializations: dubbing theory and technique; text adaptation and subtitling; diplomatic, congressional and conference interpreting; web marketing and digital business for the internalization of business; specialized and sectoral translation.

Pratic, solid and dynamic

Ciels Campus offers an in-depth study of foreign languages, combining theoretical learning and daily practical activities.

Through the acquisition of interpreting and translation techniques, essential for any kind of Language Mediation-related job, the language study finds its practical application with daily exercises and simulations of concrete experiences.

Ciels offers two different paths in Language Mediation, consisting in: Language and translation (LT) and Language, translation and interpreting (LTI).

Depending on the specialization chosen, students acquire the tools of written Language Mediation through texts of different nature and also with the aid of assisted translation technologies. In addition students learn the main techniques of oral mediation: dialogue interpreting, active and passive consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.

Furthermore, many workshops are also present in the specialization subjects, allowing students to immediately apply the theory thanks to extremely practical and dynamic academic teachings held by professors from the national university scene and the real working world, who bring in classrooms their current work experience.

Thanks to classes organized into exercises and practical experiences, Ciels students live a dynamic and active reality everyday, training on a cultural and professional level, while also enriching themselves to face different situations and manage them in the best way.
